Tairo Parkin My accomplishments are simple, Im partnered to my sl soulmate and with her her we run out shop Changing Facez and SaVy Skins. Thats real big for me. I came from making clothes and that didnt go to well but I hung in there, I stuck with it untill I learned the things I needed to know to have a successful business and one day I hope my skin shop will be as talked about in hight reguards as JCNY. I would say JCNY is not just a store that makes jewelry, when I first came into the store lookin for my wife's ring I wasnt paying for jewelry, I was paying for an experience and the feeling to know that when I put that ring on my wife's finger she would know Id from that day on,drape her with nothing but the best. JCNY is not a jewelry store it's an experience.

QueenBrat Bracken Hi My name is QueenBrat Bracken. I love modelling in SL and have a great deal of experience as a runway model, print model and live event model. It is all a lot of fun and I love the challenges. I want to thank JD for the opportunity to be on her runway for the week and I'd like to thank the runway managers as well. I can't believe I was chosen to be a JCNY Showcase Model. I love everything that JCNY represents, by far the best you can find in SL. I haven't done any modeling, but I'm trying to get myself into the business. I recently did a photo shoot for EyeCandy Magazine, and I loved every minute of it. I thought it would be fun to try out for JCNY since they have a great reputation within the fashion community and thought I would try out my luck. I am pleasantly surprised that I was chosen so this is a big accomplishment for me. I am also a store model for Gold in the Night by Elisea Carter. June Week 3 Showcase Models

Laylah Lecker I simply love to model, and I am determined to be the best that I possibly can be. My love for modeling brought me to JCNY, and I'm building up quite the collection because as I'm growing as a model I'm realizing every detail matters and JCNY adds that special something to what I wear. The design and technique behind it all is very impressive. Everything looks as though I could grab it with my rl hands. I have a ton of respect and admiration for designers. It's a incredible talent to have. I am a runway model for Classic W/Style and DC District and a store model for House of Beningborough W I DoubleYou Fashion. I'm building on my photography skills because I am a hands on person and like to have a say in my photos. Control freak you say? No way! I just want to be the best I can be and learn many things in my second life. I will continue modeling as best as I can because of that admiration. I enjoy finding the perfect poses to highlight what I am trying to show. It's a lot of fun for me and such a great break from reality:) I simply adore it. Thanks JD! I want to become a model because I love arts in general and fashion is part of it.
As a a fashion enthusiast I really do appreciate the efforts made by JCNY to encourage new models and the Fashion Industry in Second Life in general. I started my second life in 2007 and I saw how the fashion industry was changed during the years. At beginnings was very hard find good quality jewels to accessorized your avatar but JCNY was one of the first realized realistic jewels and now is the most famous jewelry brand here. I'm actually working as photographer and model so I tryed to be in the Model'Fest again because it is an important occasion to meet new people and to show my own style to mix outfit and perfect jewels. Cierra Emor When I was introduced to JCNY by a friend of mines, I was in total shock and amazement. I loved every single piece of jewerly in there and if I had the lindens I would have bought everything in the store LOL. I am a huge shoppaholic especially when it comes to jewerly. I love it in RL, and I for sure love high quality jewerly in SL. JCNY offers just that and I would love nothing more than to be a Showcase Model for the store. It gets to be competitve in the fashion realm, but I can handle it. I see it as a way to challenge myself . Vikeejeah Xevion Hello I am Vikeejeah Xevion a new Showcase Model for JCNY. I am so excited to have landed such a prestigies gig after recently graduating from Miss Virtual World Model Academy. I have participated in JCNY MODEL'FEST before and I really enjoyed the experience. I have grown a very strong infatuation with JCNY jewelry lol. Every chance I get I am there looking for what else I can get to class up my formals and jazz up my casual outfits. I want everything in the store lol. My next big purchase will eb the New York at Night set and then I think my SL life will be complete lol. I have been on secondlife for a while myself and it never ceases to amaze me when I see the endless diversity of fashion in secondlife. Personally I was never what you would call a fashionista in real life so sl really blew me away. Even the freebies I was getting in my early days were more fun to wear than the stuff I usually wear in real life. I always believe that in every great looks and outfit should come a fabulous jewelries. Accesorising is the key element in wearing an outfit, and wearing JCNY jewelries and collection would simply give you a stand out in a huge crowd. CherrieLips Debevec Well first of all I cannot believe I have been chosen as a JCNY Model Fest model on only my first attempt - I cant stop smiling at the minute lol. JCNY has always been the store to turn when Ive need something special and design-led - I bought my 1st wedding ring here too all those years ago. And now here I am standing on the prestigious runway Ive gazed at many a time in the past. Its completely insane :))
Anyway, I have been on SL for over 3 years now, and obviously in that time I have tried almost all SL has to offer from water-skiing to owning my own photography studio. But after so long i realised something was missing - I was watching a runway show in SL a few months ago and I realised how beautiful and graceful these models were - the total opposite of me lol - and that I would love to be like them.; so i enrolled with Glance International Modelling Academy. I am now 3 weeks away from the graduation exam, which included walking the runway, so being chosend by JCNY this week seems like fate - its given me the chance to experience first hand what its like .... and for that i Will be forever grateful.

Avairsa Aboma I'm pretty new to Sl modeling, but I love fashion and have a baaad shoppng habit so modeling is perfect for me to get use out of my growing sl wardrobe. At the moment I am a student at the F.A.M.E. Academy and I love it...didn't realize there was so much involved, but I'm learning from the best. I fell in love with JCNY jewelry since I was just a noob....the craftmanship is unmatched and the designs are gorgeous. I've been priviledged to be in 3 of the showcases so far and have gotten so much experience and have met some really great ppl. I was i mmediately taken with the fabulous fashions here on Second Life, which sparked my interest in becoming a model. I began my career by attending and winning several of the Styling Events at Classic With Style Modeling Agency, and eventually attended their Classic With Style University. I graduated in October, 2009. I have been in two of their videos, one to promote Alyssa Bijoux jewelry; the other featuring a skin by Angel Skins. I was also chosen as one of the top 100 Finalists for Miss Bliss Couture 2010. In addition, I have been a runway model in several Classic With Style Fashion Shows hilighting the work of various designers. I am currently enrolled in F.A.M.E. UNIVERSITY. Most recently, I have enjoyed being a JCNY Showcase Model and participated in their Fashion Shows. I have earned the title of Calypso Sands Beach - Miss February.

Guka Sparta Ciao! I'm Guka Sparta. I entered Second Life on 12/3/2009. I'm so excited becouse this is my first week as a JCNY Model'Fest Showcase mode. I have always been interested in the fashion industry and would like to be able to dress in beautiful clothing and accessories. My profession is social educator and I work with deaf pple with special needs since 2005. I am deaf in my rl and uses sign language in communication with other people.

. I enjoyed my time as JCNY showcase model and still do today because the atmosphere is like as family and home. JD Hansen does amazing jewelries and she is a pioneer in SL fashion. Sabine Blackburn Hello JCNY! I'm back :) I was at the Model'Fest in 2008 and beginning 2009, where I won the February Model'Fest Edition. Time flyes...when I won Model'Fest it was the beginning of my modeling career in sl and since then I have been in many shows, I have been accepted in some of the biggest modeling agencies like Modavia Supermodels and I really can say that my modeling second life is very satisfacted. Laylah Lecker I'm fairly new when it comes to modeling, but it is definitely my SL passion. I'm constantly on the lookout for events and contests that showcase a model's styling ability and presence, and I am so glad I took a chance and entered Model' Fest. I'm growing as a model and finding (by trial and error at times) new ways to define myself in our virtual world. All of the jewelry in JCNY helps me do this. Each piece is masterful, I adore the hyper gems, and allows a model to create a style that is uniquely our own. There is a lot of love in the creation of the pieces and a lot of love in Model Fest. I'm thankful I have had the opportunity to be a showcase model because to be around such creativity and ingenuity, from JD Hansen and my fellow models, is what I always imagined modeling to be about. Lulu Breuer As I spend more time getting to know and acquiring JCNY jewelry I have been increasingly struck my the every growing diversity of the collection. The available styles range from vintage to avant gard, conservative to BDSM, understated to statement pieces. This diversity is also reflected in the materials which include gold, silver, diamonds, pearls, gem stones and crystals. Often a single piece can encompass a world of jewelry with the option to pick from a menu of metal, gems and stones to create endless iterations of the same set of jewelry. I am appreciate the breath and depth of the collection more and more, especially since it lends itself so well to the many styles and options available for the SL fashion industry in general.

Hye Omizu Though I am new to the modeling and SL communities, it was not difficult to recognise that JCNY truly differentiates itself in its brand. The honour of being a JCNY Showcase Model has taught me so much beyond the realm of modeling and jewelry. Among so many other things, the experience has taught me the crucial value of being a contributing member to a community. Working with the staff, the Runway Managers, my fellow models, and in particular, the customers has reiterated the absolute necessity of helping one another and being a contributing member to this community. In a environment where one may expect fierce competition, I found instead a compassionate altruism that spoke to the brighter side of humanity. This made me want to work harder to represent JCNY's image positively and strive beyond my own individual limitations. It also increased my respect even more for JD Hansen and her staff for actually demonstrating community and customer service, proving that these values are not mere lip service here. For that, I thank you, JD, and the rest of the staff, for making my week at Model'Fest a truly outstanding experience!

Hello, i'm Flora Fegte. I was part of the last Showcase group for the final 4 weeks of the last Model Fest. I have made some amazing friends, wore some fabulous jewelery, and have been enrolled in the finest modeling school in SL (F.A.M.E). I cannot say enough about the JCNY products, my favorite however is the Hyper-Gems collection, the idea of personalizing your piece to your outfit or style is genius. I look forward to have the chance to show how I style my Hyper-Gems again!

Arion Vella Modeling has been part of my SL practically since I first signed on. I've been to several schools for modeling and was an instructor at one, worked with several agencies, and have entered and won quite a few contests. I gave all of that up for about six months when my First Life demanded more attention recently. I feel like coming back to modeling now is a fresh start -- a chance to begin again and reshape my priorities and my destiny. Early on in my career, I entered the first JCNY contest and was chosen for the runway. This thrill still hasn't worn off and I've seen JCNY grow and expand and become the touchstone for creativity and fashion forward design in SL. Going way beyond jewelry into wedding planning, a dating service, accessories and the best venue for fashion you could hope to find. Have you ever woken up one day and had that kind of day that made you think, "this is what it means to be happy?" That's how I feel right now as I write my final blog as a week 8 JCNY Showcase Model. I love, love, love fashion. I love to dress up, dress wild, dress down...any kind of dress up one can imagine. I rezzed November 8, 2009 and quickly decided I wanted to give modeling a go. Since then I have attended and graduated Classic W/Style's Modeling University, and as one of their *Famous Models* I participate in the fashion shows. I recently won their Classic W/Glamour Magazine April Cover and was Ms. Valentine 2010 second runner up. I want to continue to learn as much as I can about the SL modeling industry and I am currently attending Look Elite's Modeling Academy. I also won a full scholarship with Style Lab's Model Academy for my style. I was a top ten finalist in DC District Style's December Model Search and am now a DC District Style Model. I also am in the midst of competing in House of Beningborough's March Model Awards. I'm still learning and I will strive to be the best I can. I'm not perfect yet, nor will I probably ever be, but I have found my SL passion and that's what matters the most to me. I'm thrilled to have been a part of JCNY Model'Fest. It has broadened my horizons, my friend list, and my respect for the SL fashion industry. If you love fashion, and art, as much as I do I highly recommend that you come into JCNY and see the beauty and the creativity that has surrounded me for the past 7 weeks. Sometimes words cannot express what the eye can, and you are in for a treat. I love the flexibility JCNY Hyper Gems offer me. Because we all change our minds, and one stone or one metal sometimes doesn't fit our moods or tone of outfits. Hyper Gems solve that problem, and give me the outlet to truly be creative and unique. I started modeling in Second Life in December and have met some of the most accomplished models here. Chloe Panthar My SL Rezz date is 12/25/08. I love modeling, learning about fashion, and meeting new people. I graduated from GLANCE Modeling Academy and am now attending classes at The Fashion Institute on a work-study program to learn even more about Fashion, Design, etc. I am also enrolled at the Maneira Institute of Styling to learn more about styling myself. JCNY Model'Fest is giving me an opportunity to display what I am learning, to learn more from others, and to realize and meet some of the best designers in SL. JCNY is giving me the opportunity to see what modeling is, how it works, and to learn how to be a better model.

Vikeejeah Xevion Hello I am Vikeejeah Xevion a new Showcase Model for JCNY. I am so excited to have landed such a prestigies gig after recently graduating from MA Modeling Agency. It has been quite a whirl wind experience stepping into modeling from being a designer but I am loving every minute of it. This fashion industry on SL is very fast paced and I am looking to soak up everything I possible can. JCNY has been great so far. A lady visited the runway the other day and wanted to know how to be accepted as a model at JCNY. The best answer I could give was look around at the models here. They all represent the best SL has to offer and I am very proud to work with them. My association with JCNY has inspired me to work hard to become the best model that I can be. I started modeling in Second Life in December and have met some of the most accomplished models here. The staff a JCNY has been a tremendous help, and have given me direction in improving my modeling skills. JCNY has a great selection of jewelry for women and men. I continue to enjoy my JCNY Mariner Watch which is a functional and beautiful piece of jewelry. JCNY has tremendous name recognition. I'm fairly new to Second Life I have been here for about a month.
I have become very addicted in that time I usually close each of my days spending time shopping, browsing or working on photographs. In Real Life I work as a graphic artist mostly with airbrushing models and photographers work.
Sl has been an extreme inspiration as far as my photography and creative outlet there is so much I can do here that I may not be able to in the Real World.
I came across JCNY after entering a few smaller photo contests and thought I would give this one a try! I am so in Love with JCNY it's insane JD's work is so creative, daring and fashion forward and it is my goal to express these sides of myself through my photographs.

Lulu Breuer Hi, my name is Lulu Breuer and I am new Second Life model. I am having the time of my life being part of the JCNY Model-Fes; loving every aspect of the experience. From spending time on the runway and getting to bond with my fellow models, to watching awe as Hemione Moca do 200 things all at once, all well. I have enjoyed the runway show, whether we put together outfits of our own or get to show off beautiful new cloths for a hot designer. Ginevra Babii I'm a fashion addicted and I love spend my linden to buy new items for change my look everytime.I think that JCNY have the best jewels you can find on all SL and I'm really proud to be a showcase model. I started to work as a model for different agencies so I can try and wear new outfits from the best designers in SL. Cera Toll Hello, my name is Cera Toll I have been on SL for over 3 years. My accomplishments on SL are not necessarily in building things or designing, but in the friendships that I have made, the exploring I have done and the things I have seen, I did have the great opportunity of running a club which I did for 2 and 1/2 years, also I was part of a fashion blog in which I had my own section called Cera's Closest Creations, This was where I would take pieces from different outfits and create a whole new outfit, the blog helped me to realize the potential of the fashion world.
JCNY means to me class and style, the pieces work well with a lot of my outfits, and make me feel glamorous and beautiful. The fact that JCNY has been around since I was rez really says a lot about the quality and dedication of the creators. Thank you for always keeping me assesorized with beautiful jewelry.

Laylah Lecker Hello! I'm Laylah Lecker, and thanks to JD Hansen I'm back for week five. I'm so happy to be here once again. Fashion and modeling are the two things I love the most about Second LIfe. I'm a RL small town girl, so this is a dream for me. My favorite past time consists of building the perfect outfit around my JCNY jewelry. Probably the opposite of what most gals do, but I've always done things a little different. Plus JCNY jewelry is so beatifully crafted. Roe Woodford Hello I am Roe Woodford, a fashion model in SL. I have been fascinated by the Second Life fashion indusrty since joining. Its a wonderful thing to be a part of. I have been lucky and met some great people early on and I have had some wonderful opportunities. Most of my work has been print and I am studying to become a great runway model. I have done print ads for Vogue and Angel Dessous. (both currently running) I was chosen Angel of the Month for Angel Dessous twice (March 2010 and Nov 2009) I was also Ms. December for Calendar Models of SL and a pre -finalist for House Beningborough Feb 2010 week 4. I currently attend EVANE Modeling academy and will graduate on March 20th. I am also training at Miss Virtual World Academy and will begin training at F.A.M.E. on March 29th. I want to be the best model that I can be and still have fun in the process. I believe that JCNY will provide me such a chance to do so. I have always been impressed by the class and style JCNY models posses and I didnt dare to enter this competition until I felt I was ready to live up to such a prestige status. I am ready now and I embrace JCNY and all that it has to offer. I am so proud and honoured to be a part of this team.

Jocelyn Campbell In my 4 years on Second Life I have had many experiences and many accomplishments. I have been the manager of several clubs. I've owned one of my own. I've learned to become a decsent builder and I have even dabbled in Hair and Clothing Design. My latest venture has been photography. I am in love with the way we can transform a normal second life picture into a beautiful masterpiece that residents of SL look to for inspiration. I had a short modeling career in 2007, but when the agency I worked for closed down, I took a break to take on business management. I have returned to the fashion world of Second Life because I love fashion and I love looking good in it. Ive always been very fashion concious. Trying to be the best looking Avitar I can be. When I heard of the Modelfest at JCNY it made me believe in modeling again. JCNY, to me, means opportunity and unity. We have the opportunity to get out there and join the biggest industry in Second Life history. We also have the ability to be a part of the experience together, united to make the fashion world Fierce! Without JCNY I wouldnt have become as passionate about photography and modeling as i have over the last several weeks. Sultry Sugarplum Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I entered Second Life on 4/29/2009. I was i mmediately taken with the fabulous fashions here on Second Life, which sparked my interest in becoming a model. I began my career by attending and winning several of the Styling Events at Classic With Style Modeling Agency, and eventually attended their Classic With Style University. I graduated in October, 2009. I have been in two of their videos, one to promote Alyssa Bijoux jewelry; the other featuring a skin by Angel Skins. I was also chosen as one of the top 100 Finalists for Miss Bliss Couture 2010. In addition, I have been a runway model in several Classic With Style Fashion Shows hilighting the work of various designers. I am currently enrolled in F.A.M.E. UNIVERSITY. Most recently, I have enjoyed being a JCNY Showcase Model and participated in their Fashion Shows. I have earned the title of Calypso Sands Beach - Miss February. I am currently a contestant for Ms. VR International.JCNY has made Second Life more beautiful by creating the finest jewelry and making it affordable to everyone in Second Life. Here in Second Life we have the opportunity to live a life and lifestyle that may not be available to us in real life. In my real life I could never afford such gorgeous jewelry and fashions, however, thanks to JCNY, I am able to log on to my fantasy world, dress in the most gorgeous gowns, accessorize with fabulous jewelry, and spend my time feeling like a Princess. Hello! I'm Laylah Lecker, and I am so honored to be chosen as a week four JCNY showcase model once again. I'm a SL model, and I love-love-love it! I'm still growing and learning as a model, but I have learned quite a bit about myself since I rezzed November 8 2009. What have I learned? I've found there are many facets to me, and my SL crosses over into my RL and my RL life crosses over into my SL, and regardless of where I happen to be at the time all that matters is to love what I do and do what I love. I've found a deep passion for modeling and fashion. SL fashion is art, and I love to be its blank canvas. Jewelry is the whipped cream and cherry on top of a fashion sundae and there is no one greater at making stunning jewelry than JCNY. Each piece I own make my outfits delicious. If I happen to fail at it, I chalk it up to a learning experience and move on. I have been told many times I should consider being a model in SL, and until recently, I would not consider it because I don not have the typical model body - real woman have curves! *smile* I recently became engaged, and went to the JCNY store because that is where my ring came from, saw the sign, and decided to o for it. My name is Slowly and I have been modelling since June of '09. I first started out with the jcny contes and quickly began to realize I need more training. I enrolled in school at MPI., I and even won a training with Evane. I have been lucky and though hard work and determination have been named Miss Uzuri and had other sucesses. I am a former DJ, an avid RPer, and now model, I would describe myself as fun, very creative, and slightly aloof, but I do enjoy exploring new places and meeting new people. I got ito modeling quite by accident. One day I was DJing at an underground club and ended up with something that I wasn't supposed to even see, let alone have in my possession. The owner to the thing that will not be named, found out I had it and put a hit on my head in order to retrieve it, and that is when I decided to flee. I ended up in hiding with my sister, who is a top model, and she suggested to me that I start going on castings with her to make myself 'just another face in a crowd of models' So, that is how I ended up in an office with me and about a dozen other girls. There I was, standing in my torn t-shirt and scuffed boots, and feeling just a tiny bit out of place; when the casting director walks over to me and examined me, maybe a little bit closer than I was used to or comfortable with. "You! What is your name!" she demanded, to which I blurted out "Dementia...(?)" she does on: "Dementia eh? Some name. Your styling ability is atrocious, your hair is a mess, and your posture is horrible, but you'll do. We have a lot to do, so wipe that look off your face" The next thing I know, I am being swept away into a different world then I was used to. This world is glitz and glamour, much unlike the grundge and mange I was used to in my old life. One day my sister and I walked into a store called JCNY. I was blown away immediately by it. Everywhere I walked there was something new, beautiful, and different to see. I couldn't believe my eyes. My sister turned to me and said "It's a wonder isn't it?" to which I could only reply with a open-mouthed nod. After walking around a little more my sister turned to me and said "Hey, here's a crazy idea.... Why don't you enter Model'Fest here? You'll get to meet other models, make lots of industry contacts, and will it will look good on your resume. What do you say? I'll even do your pics for you. "I thought, me? Could I really have a chance to represent a store that is elegance, sophistication, beauty, class, and style all at once .... Could I??

I have done a hair runway show and i have also been or currently am a finalist in a few contests such as FOB prefinalist, Pearl's designs finalist, Model of the week at Elegante and DMG Creations finalist and i am so elated to add JCNY Model showcase to my resume! I also won a mini runway contest for Look Elite modelling agency!! JCNY, to me, is by far the most prestiges jewelery of SL and it is a fashion trendsetter! even when i was couple of days old in SL, I already heard of JCNY. there is no doubt they are taking he SL fashion world by storm. After a break, I'm back for February! Wow a lot has changed, including the fantastic new store and runway, and I'm thrilled to get to walk it once more. I have been in Second Life over a year, trying out everything there is to try one one thing at a time, and now it's modeling! I've been a roleplayer, a dancer, a DJ, an explorer and so much more (but mostly a shopper!). Currently I spend a great deal of my time with friends, the most important part of Second Life and DJing at various clubs. Another wonderful acomplishment would also coming second in the Face of Beningborough 2010.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I entered second LIfi on 4/29/09. I was immediately taken with the fabulous fashions here on Second Life, which sparked my interest in becoming a model. I began my career by attending and winning several of the Styling Events at Classic With Syle Modelling Agency, and eventually atended their Classic With Style University. I graduated in October, 2009. I am currently a contestant in the Ms. Beautiful Pagaent at Classic. I have been in two of their videos, one to promote Alyssa Bijoux jewelry; the other featuing a skin by Angel Skins. I was also chosen as one of the top 100 Finalists for Miss Bliss Couture 2010. In addition, I have been a runway model in several Classic With Style Fashion Shows highlighting the work of various designers. Most recently, I have enjoyed being a JCNY Showcase model and participated in their Fashion Shows.

JCNY has made Second Life more beautiful by creating the finest jewelry and making it affordable to everyone in Second Life. Here in Second Life we have the opportunity to live a life and lifestyle that may not be available to us in real life. Well, my first impression of JCNY? Where do I start... I meet my sweetheart over a year ago in SL and for some cosmic magical reason.... our love corssed tped over inth the lag free world... he tped out of my laptop and into my lap LOL. We are now married in RL and have been since 10 October 2009. Modokun originally bought me a ring in SL from some place.. as it came from him... well.. I loved the intention but the ring... but unfortunately it didn't look anything like my RL engagement ring.. so we hunted around and with much joy found JCNY..

Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! JCNY Showcase model in 2010! Now there's a great way to start off the new year. Entering this contest again was a bit unexpected, it had nothing to do with any of my new year resolutions because I didn't make any but lets just say that I did, this would have been it! Just being up here on the runway again amongst so many beautiful people is an honor and I'm going to enjoy every second of it. I'm more of a wanderer in Second Life, a fashion loving, art admiring, modelling once in a while wanderer. I was in the JCNY Showcase in the 3rd week of March 2009 and that same week, month, and year I was one of the week winners for the Son!a Spring Contest. I've done some older modelling gigs here and there but mostly I just peruse around and enjoy all of the brilliant sights and sounds. I can't wait to meet some of the other Showcasers. Working at JCNY has been the best experience in my Second Life by far. After many weeks spent on the runway, I got to know the other models and staff, who are some of the most lovely, respectful and funny people you will ever meet, and they are all willing to help each other out. I recommend the Model'Fest to all aspiring models as it teaches you some of the basics of modeling; runway, styling and social skills which are very useful within the fashion industry and will help your career. I feel so privileged to have been given the opportunity to model here in the past few months and I nearly fainted when I was announced as the December Winner! The staff, especially JD, are probably sick of all of my 'Thank you's', but I really can't thank them enough because I would seriously be no where if it wasn’t for their kindness and support; so thank you again! What a great place to buy that something specail for your loved ones. I have been busy modeling since I last posted on the blog. I recently modeled in the Winter Wonderland show with Evane where I helped with part of the script and was also lucky enough to be chosen to participate in the SuperElite Miss Winter contest and was chosen as a sub with a lot of stiff competition. My name is Laila Macalroy. I've been a resident of SL November 13, 2009. I enjoy shopping for something - anything, exploring and spending time with my new fiance, Alan. Initially, my intention for coming here was to start a business with a good friend (RL) of mine. And while we are working on that, modeling caught my eye. It's more than about just fashion to me and the lights and glamour. I enjoy looking and feeling beautiful. The feeling is empowering & I imagine I can do anything that I'm presented with! I want to be able to cross someone's path and have her look at me and say "WOW, that's a beautiful woman! I want to be like her. I want to have the same elegance and confidence that she has!" If I can do that one seemingly simple thing, then I feel a sense of accomplishment because, perhaps, that one person will decide that whatever is going on in her life isn't so bad. Perhaps, that person will, in turn, find that same elegance and confidence within herself, enough so that she has a new outlook on life. And in return, I'd hope that she'd want to share that with someone else. That's what modeling means to me. That's why I want to do this; that's why I'm here! JCNY is the epitome of what the fashion industry in Second Life is, setting the standard for exquisite quality and customer service. Becoming SL's favorite diamond jeweler was not an easy task, I'm sure. But with hard work and dedication, JD Hansen set out to do just that! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I entered Second Life on 4/29/2009. I was i mmediately taken with the fabulous fashions here on Second Life, which sparked my interest in becoming a model. I began my career by attending and winning several of the Styling Events at Classic With Style Modeling Agency, and eventually attended their Classic With Style University. I graduated in October, 2009. I am currently a contestant in the Ms. Beautiful Pageant at Classic. I have been in two of their videos, one to promote Alyssa Bijoux jewelry; the other featuring a skin by Angel Skins. I was also chosen as one of the top 100 Finalists for Miss Bliss Couture 2010.
JCNY has made Second Life more beautiful by creating the finest jewelry and making it affordable to everyone in Second Life. Here in Second Life we have the opportunity to live a life and lifestyle that may not be available to us in real life. In my real life I could never afford such gorgeous jewelry and fashions, however, thanks to JCNY, I am able to log on to my fantasy world, dress in the most gorgeous gowns, accessorize with fabulous jewelry, and spend my time feeling like a Princess. Saleena Hax is a budding new model that found her way to modeling through DJing at various Industrial and Gothic clubs ! After viewing many fashions shows and asking every model she could, Saleena took the plunge into modeling and she has not been happier! Currently, she is a JSE Top Model, a Certified MPI Model, an In Motion model, a trainee for Evane under the sharp eye of Mimmi Boa, a trainee at Venus Agency under Giselle Temple and a live model for Nymphetamine Boutique. Though my modeling career has not been very long and my resume is not as extensive as others, I still get to experience this fantastic week of showing my style on the runway, modeling the best jewelry in SL, and assisting the wonderful customers. I am a good example of just one of the many things that makes JCNY MODEL'FEST such a fantastic opportunity. As Second Life gets larger JCNY remains an anchor in the fashion industry offering both unique and classic styles of quality jewelry and clothing that everyone can enjoy and afford. Thank you JD Hansen for all you have created, thank you to the Runway Managers for all your help and support, and thank you to the other models I shared the Showcase with this week for being so lovely.

Hello Everybody, my sl name is Elena Ewing, i was born on 21 march 2007 , in my RL i'm an Italian girl living in Milan. I'm an SL top model since 1 year, i like fashion world of sl and rl , I follow the current of fashion , I followed much the advices of my friends and also thanks to them if today I'm part of some agencies of fashion among the most important sl, beyond them, my determination has contributed to my success. JCNY has given me the opportunity of my young SL modeling career in allowing me to be a JCNY Showcase Model. This is the first time I can wear the tag of "Model" above my head and I am so very happy and extremely appreciative of this chance. I have taken classes and have been working hard to become the best I can be in this business, but you have to get that first nod from someone and JCNY has made a dream come true for me. I have several new model friends in here, all taking classes with me, all struggling to get their foot in the door, and when they see that JCNY made it happen for me - it gives them hope and inspires them to try for it as well, and that means so much to me - I wholeheartedly encourage those with less experience (like me) to get that application and go for it! And another perk: I am now a JCNY jewelry fanatic - and am really enjoying accessorizing my wardrobe with their uniquely crafted pieces. My SL accomplishments to me are based not on a title, but more on if I am doing the right thing and spreading SL joy and fun to others using myself as a tool to do this. So I will not go over my titles or what I own. Instead I will say, I use my character and wit to help people enjoy thier SL more! I enjoy helping people. It's my calling in life I think. I have never really REALLY modeled before on SL. The only thing I have done really is spin on a stand for a couple of my friends, Potnia of Ora Trei Designs and Tiff of Bitch Tail, when they needed a Model. To me JCNY brings more then just a Model Competition to mind when I think of the name. It brings a feeling of security and warmth. It brings back memories of the past, good times. I think of all the lovers, the loved, the in love people who come wanting to give something that signifies something from deep within. How can you even describe that! We come here to find this special peice. Everything in JCNY has brought someone this feeling I spoke of earlier. As for me getting picked as a Showcase Model, WOW! This is awesome and I am in shock! Since i started in SL i felt fascinated by the Fashion Industry and i new i wanted to be part of it; and JCNY helped me a lot to make this dream come true. I remember when my fascination with jewelry and gems began. I was just a little girl, and I would watch my mother putting on her fancy jewelry every day for work. I would rifle through her jewelry box with her, and help her pick out what to wear. Since then, I've garnered quite the collection all my own, and I've decided to follow my passion and make a career out of it. I am a graduate from a prestigious jewelry design program and am currently pursuing a degree in gemology from one of the world's leading authorities on diamonds and gems. JCNY was the very first jewelry I ever fell in love with in Second Life, and I still wear my Solstice collection all the time. I recommend their pieces to everyone I know. As a bit of a jewelry and gem connoisseur, I consider myself to have very good taste, and I would definitely wear JCNY were they a real jewelry line! I was humbled and filled with happiness when I found out that I had been chosen Model'fest runner up for the Month of October. Somewhere while in the middle of all of the practices, shows, and outfit coordinating I was having so much fun the competition was very much a bonus for me. Now that I have come so close I feel reinvigorated to plan, practice, and coordinate just a bit better so that maybe next time I can turn runner up into Model'fest winner. The opportunity, contacts, and exposure provided by this experience are all things I feel have made me a better model. This is why I feel that JCNY's Model'fest is a positive competition that any model looking to improve should join.
