My name is Arisia Ashmoot and i am happy and proud for have been chosen for third time as showcase model. Since i started in SL i felt fascinated by the Fashion Industry and i new i wanted to be part of it; and JCNY helped me a lot to make this dream come true. The past times at the runway were absolutely amazing, i met wonderful people and learnt a lot of things that helped me to improve as a model; and the best part is that i was able to do that while modeling JD's creations! I want to thank again JD for this opportunity and the runway managers Sparkie, Hermione and Cheriese for all their help and support during my time as showcase model.

Every week Im being challenged to be at my best. Wearing the best SL Designs is not so easy but I simply love doing it. I always make sure to be at the runway during my spare time and thats in between designing, blogwriting, and publishing.. In any case I just love being with the JCNY FAMILY.

Like seriously, I've wanted for soo long and when I got the group invite I about hit the cieling and then IM'ed all my friends xD. I lovelovelove JCNY, especially their wedding rings. I've bought several wedding sets from them -coughsyeadontaskcough- and loooved each one of them. I also love the clothes, I frequently wear the uptown jumper with some nerd glasses or the champage dress.. JCNY has so many quality products. I remember when my fascination with jewelry and gems began. I was just a little girl, and I would watch my mother putting on her fancy jewelry every day for work. I would rifle through her jewelry box with her, and help her pick out what to wear. Since then, I've garnered quite the collection all my own, and I've decided to follow my passion and make a career out of it. I am a graduate from a prestigious jewelry design program and am currently pursuing a degree in gemology from one of the world's leading authorities on diamonds and gems. JCNY was the very first jewelry I ever fell in love with in Second Life, and I still wear my Solstice collection all the time. I recommend their pieces to everyone I know. As a bit of a jewelry and gem connoisseur, I consider myself to have very good taste, and I would definitely wear JCNY were they a real jewelry line! I am honored to have been chosen to walk their runway.

Being a model for JCNY has taught me many things about myself. I always thought myself a bit shy and not very talkative. I have made some wonderful friends and can truly say being a part of the JCNY has made me a better person. This is by far one of the most incredible journeys of my Second Life. This being my second time as a JCNY Model'Fest Runway entrant and model I find I am even more excited this time around. The jitters are very real and the amazement is just as fabulous but I think this time I see more of what really goes into being a model and representive of JCNY. The skill JD Hansen has in creating the stunning jewels I can't seem to stop buying amaze me each and every day. The words; Elegance, Dazzling and Genius come to mind just viewing her creativity in Second Life. Hello, My name is Gabbie Ikura and I have been a model here in SL for about 2 years now. I am a former Model for KSG Modeling Agency, La Belle Facon Model Agency and Latex Station. I have been showcase model at JCNY for the months of September, October and for November of 2008 and September and now November of 2009, which I am excited about! I have done many runway shows and modeling for a friends store. I love the SL Fashion Industry and I love my JCNY Jewlery. Its unique and intricate. For the many times I have been chosen as JCNY model Im bound to lost count. Through the weeks that I have been working hard for my own clothing line and my own magazine I always find myself going back to JCNY seeking comfort with fellow models.. relaxing at the runway talking to residents who shop or just stood by. The opportunity, contacts, and exposure provided by this experience are all things I feel have made me a better model. This is why I feel that JCNY's Model'fest is a positive competition that any model looking to improve should join.

Hello, my name is Bree Rexen. I am a quiet but fun person to be around. I am employed by Thalia's Fashion Collection as an Assistant Manager. I've been intersted in becoming a model since I first heard they existed in Second Life about a year ago. That is how I learned about Thalia's. I think JCNY is a great place to buy jewlery for a friend, loved one or yourself. Everything is very high quality. After being selected a few times, I have a better view of what Model'Fest and the JCNY organization is all about. No longer is JCNY just the leading jeweler in SL with a community interest in furthering fashion and modeling in SL. JCNY is now also part of my family. I can't tell you how awesome it has been to be picked as a showcase model again and also to be a "part of" the shows and the awards presentations. To feel all the camaraderie from JD all the way to the Runway Managers, to the spectators and above all, the models on the runway is just incredible! The atmosphere is often times charged with enough electricityto handle the needs of the entire sim and then some! All the veteran models have been so kind and compassionate in giving help and encouragement. It just feels good to be out on the runway posing and chatting with the people that walk by and enjoying the company of comrades....its truly inspirational. Im so glad JD Hansen and the JCNY Judges never loose trust in me..I just love gracing the JCNY Runway..even if I have quite a hectic schedule these days I always find time to be at the runway and in their shows. This is how I am in both lives...standing on what I believe and I strongly believe in JCNY collection. As you can imagine, after being in Second Life for 4 years, I have done just about everything possible in this wonderful virtual world. The one aspect of sl that has been a constant to me during these years, is my love for fashion. I love being up-to-date on the latest fashions, skins, hair, jewelry as well as exploring new sims and locations. I love the versatility and creativity that comes with achieving a new look for myself each and every day for any occasion. I can't think of a better way to express that passion and give due credit to the designers than modeling. I'm an admirer of originality and creativity and JCNY combines both in their creations. The year of 2009 has been a really exciting year for me in Second Life.I´ve been experiencing a great development in my modeling career and one explanation is the JCNY ModelFest where i got selected and took part five times this year.This event is in many ways one of the biggest reasons to why i think the modeling world of SL has developed dramatically lately.Being in this competition forces you to work hard finding nice clothing,jewelry,skins,shoes etc so you can compete during the selection process.If you are lucky and get in the contest you meet a lot of nice people who you can get good hints from to become better in your modeling.There are few,if any,of the top names of modeling today that haven´t been posing on the runway at JCNY sometime during their career.Now i´m proud to once again have been selected as a showcase model and i look forward to a week of fun and interesting experiences!See you at JCNY!

My very first modeling experience was when I entered JCNY MODEL'FEST back in about June of 2008 and I made Showcase Model in one of their week long sessions. I then went on to make Showcase Model for one week in each of the next two months. Those times that I spent on the JCNY runway pretty much launched my SL modeling career, so I owe them a lot for that. I'm also very glad to have met some wonderful people through that experience. And last but not least, I am so proud and happy to say that I'm getting married on November 14th 2009, my beautiful are wearing JCNY - ROSA Diamond Rings with Hypergems Controller as our engagement rings. :)

When i am not modelling i love to decorate my sim and take inworld photos. i also enjoy exploring the grid and discovering new sims. There is such a variety of cutlures in sl one can never see enough. I can shop till I drop but I also have time for my friends who mean a great deal to me. JCNY triggered my modelling career and my passion for taking photos and. It lured me to a beautiful and wonderful world which is the world of sl fashion. That is why I repeatedly return to this magnificent runway which, for me, epitomizes fashion and all that is beautiful in sl. It is also a place where i have met and made new new friends. Let me start by saying thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a Showcase Model for 2 weeks in a row. This is a huge accomplishment for me. One I won't too soon forget. What can I say about JCNY that hasn't already been said. Not only does JCNY offer beautiful, quallity jewelry but it also offers an opportunity like no other jeweler in SL. To me JCNY means quality and service at it's finest. Although my JCNY jewelry collection is quite small right now (but it's growing), I couldn't imagine being without it. Sabine also recently modeled in several shows with Virtual London Fashion Week. Her love of fashion in RL as well as SL and putting the right look together drew her to JCNY where she has found many lovely pieces that give an outfit a special touch. Alexandra Maskelyne It is the middle of October and I am here again! Never did I think I would be selected so many times - and I can say hand on heart, that it has been such a wonderful experience. Of course. it is getting harder and harder - I have had to think of ways of standing out from the rest of the models on the catwalk. I am constantly going backstage to change my outfits, and thanks to server issues, the occassional panic when my clothes do not appear.
Of course there are the familar faces that have been with me since I first started, and there are new models as well - some fierce competition. But this has now gotten under my skin, and I am not letting go of this opportunity without a fight!.

Hello all,
There are days when I keep having to pinch myself as I cannot believe how fortunate I have been. I never imagined that I would be on stage more than once, and yet, here I am again! This experience has given me a greater appreciation of the modelling industry in Second Life. With each weeks new application, I have found myself thinking of ways to make my photos stand out and be memorable. There has been alot of thought placed on using the right clothes and hair and of course, the jewels. Now its time to be rid of the special effects and go back to basics - to let the image do the talking on its own. I know that i must suceed, as this is not a game for me - it is very real.

BlackLiquid Tokyoska Hello there I am blackLiqud Tokyoska, I am an east meets west fusion of both Japanese and Caucasian blood, residing in Australia. This is my first time to enter and be selected in the JCNY showcase. I Love JCNY for the principle fact that it's always fashion forward, it's always possible to find something edgy and unique to compliment my look! I like to be different and JCNY enables me to do that with jewelery! JCNY provides fantastic opportunities for models to get a start in the industry in SL by means of fantastic competitions open to anyone, as well as being supportive of agencies and designers. JCNY is without a doubt the quintessential jewelry designer in SL and there is not a person especially in the modeling world who is not familiar with the name. Burly Tigerpaw What an honor it is to be selected this week for the JCNY Model'Fest! My belief is that JCNY is the finest jeweler in Second Life and intends to stay number one through promotion of the fashion industry and modeling in addition to their normal advertising. This helps the industry as a whole by making more people aware that fashion is huge in SL and helps people to become better at their modeling skills and further their careers. I am not certain about others, but I know close to half my time is spent shopping in SL because its so fun and its nice to achieve status through what we project. What we project is influenced a great deal by what our avies wear, whether its skin, hair, shapes, clothing, or jewelry. I think the more that education is promoted in fashion, the larger the effect will be on sales of fashion items. By sponsoring Model'Fest, I believe JCNY is well positioned not only to stay ahead of the field, but also show their focus on giving back to the SL community. Model'Fest is a vehicle to further progress for JCNY, the clothing designers and makers, and the modeling industry. These three entities provide a great climate for fashion education and growth in Second Life. Finally, I want to thank JD Hansen for this awesome opportunity and thank all those that have inspired me in Sl to this point. Special thanks to CallieDel Boa, Skye Donardson and Cheriese Baxton for their support and mentoring, and last but not least, to Deni for her unconditional support, without whose caring nature I would not be here.

DocSeree Mistwalker Hello Im Seree! Im glad to have been chosen again for the fourth time and second time as a wildcard showcase Model. I always loved modeling for JCNY the jewelries really makes you shine. JCNY boost my profile after i joined mode'fest I got lots of oppurtunities. I now model for Reila Skins and Ice Couture,worked as a designer with Classified Wyld and SL MODEL on top of my previous modelling commitents with DMA and Sunrise Fashion Dreams. I thank Ms. JD Hansen and JCNY Judges who paved the way. Being a model is not a walk in the park but with JCNY behind me everything is possible.

Lion Regent Hello! It is very exciting to return to the JCNY runway as a Showcase Model for another week! I'm having a great time modeling JD Hansen's fabulous jewelry, thank you for the invitation! I'm starting my 3rd week as a model in SL and I'm learning so much about modeling while participating in Model'Fest. I enjoy shopping, building homes, spending time with my wonderful SL husband and of course, wearing my JCNY jewelry! I love JCNY because it represents beauty, style and luxury in SL. I look forward to seeing everyone on the runway!


Maddog Nootan I feel this is such an honor for me... as i am reletively new to modeling on Second Life... and the help ive recieved from the JCNY models and staff has been greatly appreciated...I am a man of mostly casual wear.. but i do like to wear lovely formal clothing.. the tux being one of my favorite, when im not running up the catwalk i am at home on my sim... playing allsorts of mischief to the neighbours..hahahahahaha, i'm enjoying the opportunity that MODELFEST is giving me.... as now i feel like i have a purpose in SL...

Melanie Sautereau YAY.. I have been chosen as one of the "WildCard" Models for October week 1. Thank you so much!Although I have less time to be on the runway this week, I will be at JCNY's runway at every free moment. I really love to be on JCNY's runway... You meet such a wonderful people and show off the best stuff :)) It really would be an honor if I could represent SL's biggest and most beautiful brand, JCNY. Some say; "dreams are made to come true"... Well, I really hope that counts for me aswell.For me, JCNY has really the most beautiful jewelry.. When I have to walk a fashion show I often wear JCNY jewelry, because its got style. It gives me a glamouros, outstanding and high fashion look. I'm a perfectionist, so I only wear the best. Yes, I truely believe JCNY has the greatest, and only the best, jewelry everyone desires. Thank you JD, for sharing your talent with us. You're a true artist.

QueenBrat Bracken Hi. My name is QueenBrat Bracken. I love modelling in SL and have experience as a runway model, print model and live event model. It is all a lot of fun and I love the challenges. I want to thank JD for the opportunity to be on her runway for the week and I'd like to thank the runway managers as well. I really love JCNY jewelry and particularly the versatility of the hyper-gems collection. To be able to change a piece of jewelry is such an affordable and practical option. At the same time, all of the jewelry at JCNY is beautiful and has great attention to detail. I love modelling such great jewelry. I reach for my JCNY jewelry first and I'm sure anyone else who tries it would as well.

Sabine Mortenwold JCNY jewelry is that extra touch you add to an outfit to make it look fanatastic. Just like I grab my favorite necklace or earrings in RL, JCNY is my go-to source for just the right touch with anything I wear. From the Soho necklace with a cute tee or dress to the Northstar Formal Diamond Necklace for a special eveing out, I know the pieces will finish off my outfit with a touch of class and style. I really appreciate how many of the pieces offer you an option of metal finishes as well as different gems. Sula Laval Wow is all i can say. TY so much to JD for choosing me as a wild card model. A big thank you goes to Sparkie, Hermioine and Cheriese for keeping me entertained while on the runway :p I have met some great people this week as always and look forward to keeping in touch. After visiting the Jewellery fair I can honestly say that JCNY jewellery is by far the best jewellery in Second Life. Sweetest Sands JCNY has always been a part of my SL world since day one and now I am so honoured to have been choosen as TOP MODEL in the month of SEPTEMBER 2009. It has made such an impact on my career already and I do not see myself ever being able to live my SL life without JCNY in it. I hope that I can live to be a good role model for those out there wanting to become a model, and definately suggest to enter in JCNY's MODEL FEST not for the winning but the experience, the knowledge you gain, the new friends you meet and the exposure to others within the Fashion industry. Tia Ryba Hi, my name is Tia Ryba here for October week 1. WOW!!!!!! I'm just thrilled to be here as a JCNY Showcase Model for the 3rd time, this is a fabulous opportunity for any model and I thank JD. I've been in SL in total almost 5 years and I still love it. Things in SL are forever changing but the one thing that is a constant you can always count on is that JCNY will continue to make quality merchandise for the SL resident. Tessa Madsen My SecondLife accomplishments are owning my own clothing shop and photography business. To me they are more than just accomplishments, they are a hobby which I truely enjoy. Another accomplishment that makes me proud is that I'm about to graduate from ModelPages International and am now enrolled with JSE Modeling Agency Academy. I am so excited about my new endeavors. Along this fun ride, JCNY has become my favorite jeweler. I believe they have a huge impact on the jewelry industry standards within SecondLife. To me JCNY means style. It just amazes me how one piece of jewelry can make or break and entire outfit and JCNY definitely makes it.
